Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Michael Gambon, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and the rest of the cast you’ve come to expect from the Potter movies.
Harry (Radcliffe) begins his sixth year at Hogwarts in a whirlwind. Dumbledore (Gambon) pops up out of nowhere with his hand mangled, teleports Harry to the middle of god knows where, introduces this chapter’s new character, dumps Harry back at the Weasleys’, and Harry’s latest nemesis Bellatrix swoops in with some devastation. *Then* Harry goes to Hogwarts. Once there he winds up with an arcane potions book that belonged to the Half Blood Prince in the title, the plot moves along a lot of important details, and character development and love interests show up all over the place. “Half Blood Prince” is probably the most plot dense of all the Potter movies, and serves as a TON of setup for final 2 installments. Buyer beware – it’s a long one, but a must see if you’re a series fan. You don’t really feel it since so much happens, but you were warned!
